Quick Summary
The Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), is conducting market research via a Sources Sought notice for Training Ammunition to support the Colombian National Police Special Units. This is for planning purposes to identify potential sources and determine if a Small Business set-aside is appropriate. Responses are due February 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST.
Scope of Work
INL Bogota requires new training ammunition, in original packaging, covered by manufacturer's warranty, and procured via an approved distribution channel. Reloaded munition is not acceptable. Specific quantities include:

- 7.62 Short Range Training Ammunition (SRTA): 50,000 rounds
- 5.56 mm Frangible Ammunition: 1,200,000 rounds
Delivery is required within 60 days of a potential award, either to the INL warehouse in Colombia or an INL Freight Forwarder in Miami, FL. Contractors must ensure compliance with Sections 38-40 of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), obtaining all necessary export licenses.
