Statement of Work (SOW)

To install a new, low-maintenance, high-durability floor in the men's pool locker room at Building 48, Coast Guard Base Alameda, covering approximately 825 square feet.

• Project Management: Designate a point of contact, coordinate with USCG POC, and obtain necessary permits.

• Clear Interferences: Move furniture, including benches, as needed.

• Containment/Ventilation: Install measures to prevent dust spread.

• Removal: Remove and dispose of existing flooring and vinyl cove base.

• Subfloor Preparation: Prep subfloor, including filling cracks.

• Flooring Installation: Install Epoxy Terrazzo flooring per industry standards.

• Reinstallation: Reinstall and anchor benches in original locations.

• Cove Base & Transitions: Install new 4" vinyl cove base and transition strips.

• Site Cleanup: Remove all construction materials and debris daily and upon completion.

• Product details with color samples for Epoxy Terrazzo flooring (within 10 business days of award).

• Project Schedule (within 10 business days of award), to be coordinated with the Coast Guard to minimize impact on operations.

• Schedule agreed upon within 15 days of award.

• Work to be completed within 60 calendar days from the start date.

• Codes and Standards: Comply with federal, state, local, industry, and USCG-specific standards (COMDTINST M5100.47, OSHA Regulations).

• Materials: High Performance Epoxy Terrazzo (minimum 3/8-inch thickness, seamless, low maintenance, non-porous, stain resistant, mold/mildew resistant, designed for high traffic/wet areas) and 4" Vinyl Cove Base.

• Submit access request forms 72 hours prior to first day on site.

• Valid Real ID-compliant identification required for base access.

• Contractor vehicles require valid registration and insurance; operators need a valid driver's license. Vehicles must stay on marked roads.

• Personnel must adhere to base regulations, wear company identifying clothing, and vehicles must display company decals.

• 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays, unless otherwise approved.

• Potable water and electrical power may be furnished by the Government.

• Final acceptance by USCG POC after inspection confirms completion, adherence to technical/safety standards, and site restoration. Final payment contingent on correction of deficient items.
