INTRODUCTION:
The United States Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), on behalf of Program Executive Office Soldier Soldier Survivability (SSV), is requesting information from industry for IHPS GEN III.

PROGRAM BACKGROUND:
Product Manager, Soldier Protective Equipment (PdM SPE) is seeking information on the availability and capabilities of industry to manufacture the Integrated Head Protection System Generation III (IHPS GEN III). The IHPS GEN I and GEN II were singular helmet designs, while the IHPS GEN III will be a family of helmet systems that provide the end user with several different classes and types of helmet systems/components to fit a specific operational environment. Where applicable, all proposed components shall maintain backwards compatibility and interoperability with previous generations of the IHPS.
REQUESTED INFORMATION:
Respondents are requested to provide white papers to assist the Government with discovering existing capabilities, refine the acquisition strategy, and position the Army to acquire innovative helmet solutions. For more information on the requested white paper response, please see the attachment provided in this opportunity.
Proprietary information and trade secrets, if any, must be clearly marked on all materials. All information received that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All personnel reviewing responses will understand their responsibility for proper use and protection from unauthorized disclosure of proprietary information as described 41 USC 423. The Government shall not be held liable for any damages incurred if proprietary information is not properly identified.
