Quick Summary
The US Army Futures and Concepts Center (FCC), Intelligence Concepts & Experimentation Division (ICED) is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) for the Intelligence Discovery Experiment 2026 (IDX 26). The RFI seeks solutions for intelligence data processing and exploitation capabilities from collection to targeting and decision-making. Responses are due by February 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET.
Scope of Work
The ICED is seeking White Papers from industry, academia, and other government agencies on solutions leveraging automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) to improve intelligence processing and exploitation. Key focus areas include:
- General Intelligence Processing & Exploitation: Enhancing efficiency and reducing latency for targeting and decision-making.
- Army Signals Intelligence (SIGINT): Automated characterization of signals, threat frequency tracking, COMINT processing, and language translation.
- Army Human Intelligence (HUMINT) & Counterintelligence (CI): Processing unstructured data, translating HUMINT reports, facial recognition for High Value Individuals (HVIs), and automated data mining.
- Army Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT): Deep data search, automated map/imagery acquisition, NGA database querying, target recognition, and identification of Host Nation infrastructure.
- Army Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT): Detecting deception/disinformation, image manipulation detection, GEOCOORD/metadata extraction, and data filtering/correlation.
- Targeting Support: AI/ML/automated solutions specifically for the targeting process.
