Quick Summary
The National Institute of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with SDV Medical for a Preventative Maintenance Agreement (PMA) to cover the DaVinci XI Robot. This is an urgent requirement to ensure continuous operation for critical surgical procedures. This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. All responsible sources that believe they can provide the required service may submit a capability statement.
Scope of Work
The PMA is for the DaVinci XI Robot used by the National Cancer Institute's Urologic Oncology Branch for minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, including Prostate and Nephrectomy surgeries. The agreement covers a complete care plan, including:
- Guaranteed 24-hour response time and live phone support.
- Periodic software enhancements, updates, and diagnostics.
- Scheduled maintenance and service calls by Intuitive-trained personnel.
- Coverage for all parts required for repair.
- Preventive maintenance, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and replacing defective parts to ensure consistent functionality and prevent surgical delays.
