The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announces its intention to negotiate and issue a sole source award to ARMAG Corp., 300 Armag Avenue, Bardstown, KY 40004 to move two double wide ARMAGs from Blossom Point Research Facility, Welcome, MD to Summit Point Training Facility, Summit Point, WV.
ARMAG Corp. is the manufacturer of the explosion proof magazines. They are the only company qualified to do the disassembly and reassembly while maintaining compliance with ATF 27 CFR 555.208 and all ATF requirements. The ARMAGs are existing equipment and that only the manufacturer is authorized to move and reassemble.
CPSC intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 6. The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Subpart 12 procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any quotation/response must be in writing and can be sent via email to the Contract Specialist at dbraswell@cpsc.gov by 12 pm Eastern Time January 7, 2026. No phone calls will be accepted.
