Scope of Work
The objective is to test and demonstrate the ship's fire detection and fixed firefighting systems to support the SMART/INSURV Inspection. Key tasks include:
- Providing services from a USCG/ABS approved firm specializing in the repair and re-certification of fixed and portable CO2, AFFF, galley, and dry chemical fire extinguishing systems.
- Attending the ship to test and demonstrate fire detection and fixed firefighting systems, including inspection and testing of heat and smoke sensor devices.
- Conducting an operational simulation test of all fire detection and firefighting systems.
- Supplying two new 60-second time delays.
- Reconnecting all systems, ensuring bottles are filled, and systems are ready for service upon completion.
- Maintaining clean work areas daily. All work must satisfy the Port Engineer, Chief Engineer, Chief Mate, and SMART Inspectors, demonstrating proper operation of all remote releases, ventilation shutdowns, time delays, and alarms.
