Scope of Work
The requirement is for nationwide membership in the Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) Program. RISS is a critical program composed of six regional centers and the RISS Technology Center (RTSC), working to combat various crimes including violent and gun crimes, domestic terrorism, human and drug trafficking, cybercrime, and cryptocurrency fraud. The RTSC develops and maintains the RISS Secure Cloud (RISSNET) and its applications. Thousands of federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial (FSLTT) law enforcement agencies are RISS members.
The USAOs require RISS memberships to facilitate information sharing with FSLTT law enforcement and homeland security officials across the country, as many agencies use RISS exclusively. Additionally, USAOs need access to RISS's investigative support, equipment loans, and specialized training resources.
