Quick Summary
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), under the Department of Commerce, has issued a Special Notice (Notice of Intent to Sole Source) to procure International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS) Membership. NIST intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order to the Information Technology Industry Council, Inc. for the period of December 1, 2026, to November 30, 2027. Interested parties must submit capability statements by July 2, 2026.
Requirement Details
NIST's Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) requires INCITS membership to promote effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) through standardization, balance stakeholder interests, and increase global competitiveness. INCITS is the central U.S. forum for creating technology standards, with over 50 technical committees developing and updating standards. The membership includes participation in various categories such as Executive Board, Future US Hosted JTC 1 Plenary Voluntary Assessment, INCITS Artificial Intelligence, Biometrics, Blockchain, Cybersecurity and Privacy, Data Management, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, and Steering Committees SC 38 and SC 42.

Membership must be purchased directly through the Information Technology Industry Council, Inc.
