Quick Summary

The Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Naval Information Warfare Centers (NIWC) Atlantic and Pacific are hosting an Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) Consortium Virtual Industry Day on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. This special notice provides advanced notification of government intent and will include program updates, technical briefs, and one-on-one sessions. The technical briefs will serve as the basis for three anticipated Requests for Prototype Projects (RPPs). This is for planning purposes only; no award will be made from this announcement.

Purpose & Scope

The Virtual Industry Day, hosted by ATI, the IWRP Consortium Management Firm, will feature a Keynote from Commander, NAVWAR, IWRP program and consortium updates, and technical briefs. These briefs are expected to lead to upcoming RPPs for white papers, enhanced white papers, or full proposals (N65236-24-9-0003).

The three anticipated RPP topics are:

  1. 26-PAC-3234 - Leveraging Battle Force Tactical Network (BFTN) Waveform Development Kit: Seeking containerized software implementations of Layer 1 and Layer 2 for High Frequency (HF) waveforms, leveraging the BFTN software framework.
  2. 26-PAC-3294 - Advanced Signal Processing and Algorithmic Maturation: Seeking prototypes to mature and transition mathematical algorithms into sustainable software applications for operational use, including anomaly detection, AI-driven waveform analysis, and anomaly rejection from sensor data streams.
  3. 26-PAC-3295 - Peat Integration: Seeking a prototype to adapt and integrate the open-source Peat peer-to-peer (P2P) tactical data synchronization tool for military use, optimizing it for reliable data exchange in degraded, intermittent, and low-bandwidth (DIL) communication environments.

Key Information

To obtain more information regarding these projects, interested parties must be a member of the IWRP Consortium. Information on becoming a member is available at https://www.theiwrp.org. This announcement is solely for advanced notification and planning; it is not an RPP, and no project will be awarded from it.
