J--HAUL OUT/REFURBISH CAPTAIN GEORGE VESSEL

Scope of Work

The project involves a comprehensive haul-out and refurbishment, including:

• Sandblasting and application of polyurethane primer and urethane non-skid paint on specific areas (gate, cargo bay, cabin roof, deck cabin).
• Replacement of hull anodes (provided by NPS).
• Removal and replacement of vessel props (new props provided by NPS, old props returned).
• Replacement of old turbos with new stainless steel clamps on both engines.
• Recertification of the life raft and fire suppression system.
• Replacement of four multi-functional displays (compatible with existing engines).
• Replacement of seats on three outside storage boxes.
• Replacement of dripless stuffing boxes (port and starboard) and seals on engine hatch, cargo area, and gate.
• Repair of exhaust leaks and cleaning of carbon buildup from intake to turbo on both engines.
• Replacement of damaged rub railing. The contractor must provide an itemized cost breakdown.

Special Requirements

• The vessel may only be out of service for a maximum of 45 days.
• Contractor is responsible for all travel expenses.
• The park will deliver and pick up the vessel if the contractor's service center is within 25 miles of 3500 Park Road, Ocean Springs, MS 39564 and navigable; otherwise, the contractor is responsible for pickup and delivery.
• Adherence to OSHA rules and procedures is required; a safety plan may be requested.
• Government-Furnished Property (GFP) includes the vessel, hull anodes, and vessel props.
• All tasks must be completed within 45 days of Notice to Proceed, and a quality program is required.
