Notice of Intent to Sole Source
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Minerals Testing Laboratory (NMTL), intends to award a sole source contract to Oxford Instruments America Inc., Concord, MA for the Oxford Ultim Max Infinity 100 Analytical Silicon Drift EDS Detector with the Backscatter Electron and X-ray (BEX) imaging device. The system must be fully compatible with NMTL¿s Tescan Scanning Electron Microscope and existing AZtec software/database.
The requirement includes the supply and installation of the Ultim Infinity 100 upgrade, installation of the Unity Retrofit Package with BEX imaging detector, all required onsite installation services, and software updates (AZtec Live, Cartography Mode, and BEX Imaging).
This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be issued. Interested parties may submit written responses with supporting documentation to demonstrate capability. The Government will review responses to determine if competition is appropriate.
Responses are due no later than September 18, 2025. The applicable NAICS code is 811210 ¿ Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $34.0 million.
