Scope of Work
The contract covers maintenance, repair, replacement, and/or demolition of Plumbing, HVAC-R, Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Systems, including ancillary construction and facility support services. Specific services include, but are not limited to, drain/waste/vent repair, compressed gas system maintenance, medical gas analysis, pipe insulation, sewer/storm drain clearing, grease trap cleaning, steam system testing, water balance, backflow device testing, plumbing fixture installation, HVAC ductwork repair, Direct Digital Controls (DDC) installation/repair, Variable Speed Drive repair, electrical system repair (generators, transformers, panels), and mechanical system repair (medical air/vacuum systems, air compressors). Facility support services such as carpentry, road repair, painting, housekeeping, sheet metal fabrication, concrete work, roofing, insulation, drywall, flooring, doors/windows, landscaping, and snow removal are also included.
The prime contractor must possess current, valid Plumbing and HVAC-R contractor licenses in the State of Idaho and provide evidence of such. A prime contractor representative must respond on-site at the Boise VA Medical Center within two (2) hours for any emergent need. All work must comply with the Buy American Act and the latest Service Contract Labor Standards and Construction Wage Rate Requirements Act for Ada County, Idaho. A one-year warranty is required on all materials, equipment, software, and labor.
