Scope of Work
The requirement is for comprehensive grease trap and grit trap services, including pumping, scraping, degreasing, and pressure washing. Services will be performed at the Temple VA (1901 Veterans Memorial Dr., Temple, TX 76504) and Waco Doris Miller VA (4800 Memorial Dr., Waco, TX 76711).
Key tasks include:
- Temple VA: Quarterly pumping of up to 6,750 gallons, scraping, and annual power washing for Buildings 163 & 202, including three grease pits at Building 163. Emergency services (5 calls/year, up to 3000 gallons/emergency) are also required.
- Waco VA: Quarterly pumping of up to 3,000 gallons, scraping, and annual power washing for Buildings 4, 91, 202, & 226, with specific attention to Canteen Services and the grit trap outside Building 226. Emergency services (5 calls/year, up to 2000 gallons/emergency) are also required.
- General Services: Scraping, degreasing, pressure washing, and pumping of grease traps and grit traps. Degreaser use is necessary for excessive grease removal. The contractor is responsible for proper disposal of all materials, grease, sludge, and trash per OSHA guidelines.
- Performance Standards: Includes a 4-hour response time for emergency services, daily service reports to the Project Manager, submission of mandated forms and manifests to the City of Temple and City of Waco Public Works Departments, and affixing tags noting cleaning dates. Workmanship must comply with local codes, VA standards, and city ordinances. A 1-year warranty on work free of defects and workmanship is required.
