The required services include comprehensive preventative maintenance, sanitation, and emergency support for the STC VA HCS critical water system. Preventative Maintenance:

  • Adherence to OEM recommendations and AAMI ST108 standards.
  • Regular servicing of key components: NuStream CGD-34 RO System, NuStream Electro-Deionizer, Cone Bottom Tank, Grundfos CME 10-3 Distribution Pump, Viqua Pro30 UV Treatment System, Filter Vessel Assembly, Anti-Scalant Tank Assembly, Chlorine Destruct Tank Assembly, and Hydrocheck Alarm System.
  • Quarterly tasks: Filter replacement, full critical water loop sanitization with lab testing, and controller calibration.
  • Semi-Annual tasks: Endotoxin filter replacement and UV light service/bulb replacement.
  • Annual tasks: UV light service/bulb replacement, UV quartz sleeve replacement, RO membrane replacement, and vent filter replacement.
  • Contractors must provide a detailed maintenance schedule/checklist, technical documentation, and test equipment. Sanitation:
  • Quarterly critical water loop disinfection primarily using Ozone, with chemical disinfection as a secondary method.
  • Additional disinfections are required if water samples fail to meet ANSI/AAMI ST108 limits. Emergency Services:
  • Response for repairs and parts replacement not covered by routine PM.
  • Contractors must respond within four (4) hours and be on-station at the St. Cloud VA Campus within twenty-four (24) hours of a request.
  • Requires a written itemized estimate and approval from the Contracting Officer/COR before proceeding. Only new, non-refurbished parts are permitted.
