This document serves as an amendment to cancel Solicitation 36C24826Q0562 in its entirety. The cancellation is due to the government's determination that the requirement, as currently defined, lacks sufficient detail for vendors to accurately and consistently price the work. Ambiguity within the Performance Work Statement (PWS) has led to materially different interpretations of the scope of work and associated risk among vendors.

This cancellation impacts the entire solicitation, including the PWS.

Due to the cancellation, there will be no award under the current solicitation. The requirement will be re-evaluated, further defined, and re-solicited at a later date once sufficient detail is developed to support accurate and competitive pricing. Bidders are advised that the original response date of 04-24-2026 is no longer applicable.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (RFO) for commercial services to provide Deionized (DI) Water System Maintenance. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract for all necessary supplies, materials, equipment, labor, supervision, management, and transportation.

• Provision of Deionized (DI) Water System Maintenance.

• Includes preventive maintenance, inspection, consumable exchange, and operational support for two DI Water Systems.

• Systems are located in the Pool Room and Mechanical Room E474 at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center.

• Maintain water resistivity between 10-18 megohm-cm.

• Ensure continuous operation and delivery of deionized water meeting required performance standards.

• Respond to corrective actions within one business day and perform minor repairs.

• Contract Type: Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP)

• Period of Performance: One (1) year base period and four (4) one-year option periods, for a total potential of five (5) years.
