Scope of Work
The contractor shall correct all cited medical gas deficiencies, ensuring all Oxygen (O₂), Medical Air (MA), Medical Vacuum (VAC), Waste Anesthetic Gas Disposal (WAGD), Nitrogen (N₂), and Nitrous Oxide (N₂O) systems, valves, alarms, and infrastructure are fully code compliant and operational per NFPA 99, 2018 Edition. Key tasks include:
- Code Compliance: Adherence to NFPA 99, 2018 Edition, including WAGD inlets in anesthetizing locations.
- Area Alarms: Provide and install new panels and update existing area alarms in the Surgery Ward (Rooms #3204, #3210, #3218, #3235, #3225) to support specified medical gases.
- Zone Valve Boxes (ZVB): Revise architectural layouts, relocate existing ZVBs, and provide new ZVBs in specified operating and endoscopy rooms to meet NFPA 99 requirements.
- Nitrogen (N₂) Zone Valves: Install new N₂ zone valves for Operating Rooms #3232 and #3235.
- WAGD Systems: Install complete WAGD systems, including inlets and WAGD-VAC, for specified surgery ward rooms, ensuring separation from medical vacuum systems.
- Hard Ceiling Work: Perform work above non-accessible ceilings in surgery ward rooms, including selective demolition, containment, and restoration.
