Scope of Work
This project requires the installation of new Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) and vinyl cove base, replacing existing VCT flooring on the 2nd floor of the PM&R department at VAMHCS Building 1. Key tasks include:
- Removal of existing base trim and molding.
- Sub-flooring inspection and preparation, including filling cracks with leveling compound and ensuring a smooth, clean, dry surface.
- Installation of LVT (0.125in thickness, 0.020in wear layer, UV cured Polyurethane finish, meeting ASTM standards, with a 10-year manufacturer warranty).
- Installation of 6" high, coved Vinyl Wall Base (meeting ASTM F-1861, with a 2-year commercial warranty).
- Implementation of strict dust control measures, site cleanliness, HVAC system isolation, door sealing, and proper waste disposal using sealed containers.
- Adherence to manufacturer's instructions and industry best practices, including using a minimum 45kg roller.
- Maintaining minimal noise levels in areas adjacent to inpatient care.
