Scope of Work
The contractor shall furnish and install two (2) Medical Grade Air Dryer systems (45SCFM) in Building 1, 5th Floor Mechanical Room. Key requirements include:
- Compliance with NFPA 99 and ISO 8573 class 1 or better for Medical Air.
- Each unit rated for continuous duty, sized for 130 CFM minimum peak demand, and configured for N+1 redundancy.
- Mandatory independent control systems per unit (PLC/microprocessor, start-up, dew point monitoring, regeneration cycle timing, alarm processing).
- Alarms must be local panel-mounted and integrated with the building automation system.
- Post-installation inspections, testing, and certification of the medical gas system per NFPA 99.
- Provide a minimum of two (2) hours of on-site training for VA Facilities Management Staff.
- A minimum one-year warranty on all parts, labor, workmanship, and equipment.

Eligibility & Site Visit
Bidders must have a field service representative located within 200 miles of the West Haven campus and be trained by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) on the specific equipment model. Licensed Medical Gas Installer meeting ASSE 6030 Medical Gas Systems Verifier Certification is required. A mandatory pre-bid site visit will be held on May 4, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at VA Medical Center West Haven, 950 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, CT 06516 (meet at Building 15).
Submission & Evaluation
Quotes must be submitted electronically via email to tnauri.woodbridge@va.gov. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal is most advantageous to the Government, considering Price, Past Performance, and Technical capability. Offerors must complete Attachment 1 (Price Schedule) and Attachment 2 (Past Performance Worksheet). Registration in SAM and VISTA is required.
