Scope of Work
The requirement includes semi-annual preventive maintenance inspections and services on emergency generators at the VA medical centers in Fort Meade and Hot Springs, SD, and potentially mobile units in Rapid City. Key tasks involve:
- Semi-annual inspections (October/November and May/June) as per Attachments A & B.
- Annual load bank testing for all emergency generators, including specific load percentages and durations (25% for 30 min, 50% for 30 min, 75% for 1 hour) in accordance with NFPA 110.
- Testing of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
- Contractor to provide all supplies, fluid testing (via 3rd party), filters, fluids, parts, tools, and labor.
- Diagnosing larger problems and presenting quotes for approval.
- Providing priority for repairs to VA Emergency Generators and ATS Switches.
- Emergency services with a four (4) hour response time.
- Coordination of utility system shutdowns with the COR.
- On-site contractors must complete required training (TMS 20939) and comply with security and NARA/HIPAA clauses.
