Scope of Work

This opportunity involves upgrading the existing security and access control systems at Building 27 Warehouse. Key tasks include:

  • Removing and replacing existing access control devices with new Hirsch Scrambleprox readers at designated entry points (Doors A, C, D, E).
  • Installing five motion detectors for comprehensive coverage in Warehouse Room 1002 and Corridor C1000.
  • Installing an automatic door operator with relay control and an ADA-accessible push button at Door D.
  • Furnishing and installing Hirsch input and relay boards, associated cabling, conduit, and junction boxes.
  • Integrating all new devices into the existing Hirsch access control system.
  • Providing labeling, programming, testing, and final documentation compliant with VA security, safety, and IT standards.
  • Installing rated fire caulking and/or other approved firestopping material at penetration points.
  • Providing end-user training to VA warehouse staff on the operation of the upgraded system.

Period of Performance: Thirty (30) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Special Requirements: Work must be performed during normal business hours (8:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST, M-F), submission of a detailed project schedule within seven days of NTP, advance notification to the COR, designation of an OSHA-certified Competent Person, coordination with facility systems, VA/OIT/ISO approval for network connections, a minimum one-year warranty, and coordination with VA Police for security operations.
