The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, located at Galleria Financial Center, 5075 Westheimer Rd., Suite 750, Houston, TX 77056 in support of Central Veterans Health Care System (CAVHS), intends to solicit and award Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price, contract with a base and four (4) one-year ordering periods to one large business source, Abiomed Inc.

This procurement is being conducted under Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12.102(a) Restricting Competition and FAR 5.001 Notice of Proposed Contract Action. This notice is not a request for quotes, but rather a notice of intent to sole source.
The anticipated award date is 01 January 2026. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-price contract.
Please note that this is not a request for competitive quotes and is being posted for informational purposes only. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice. However, interested parties who disagree with this action may submit a letter of interest that demonstrates your firm s technical expertise, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) authorization letter to sell/distribute OEM software for upgrades and personnel OEM training/certifications to perform services. Interested vendors shall communicate how its software upgrades and reporting is compatible with Impella (Serial Numbers: 598 EE99330 & 598 EE99329) equipment and can support Impella equipment. The Government reserves the right to verify any request for additional documentation submitted.
Interested parties shall identify their interests, provide OEM authorization, personnel certifications/training as mentioned in Section V of this document, and demonstrate that their capabilities meet the Government s requirements. They must respond to this notice within fifteen (15) calendar days of the publication of this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
