This notice announces the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center's (MEDVAMC) intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract for Medtronic Systems Service and Support. This is the only Notice of Intent (NOI) and synopsis of the proposed action.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide comprehensive support, services, and maintenance for specific Medtronic medical systems at the Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, TX.

• Equipment Covered: Premium support for Medtronic O-arm O2 (Serial # C2736) and S8 with EM (Serial # N07455363).

• Services: Includes on-site field service preventive maintenance (one visit per year), corrective maintenance (on-site repairs), telephone support, and necessary hardware/software updates and upgrades as per manufacturer specifications.

• Coverage: Service is provided during working hours of 7 A.M. to 5 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Emergency repairs are available 24/7 with a 24-hour phone response and a 2-day on-site commencement for non-phone-resolvable issues.

• Inclusions: All labor, parts, materials, travel expenses, and ancillary costs are included in the contract, unless specifically excluded and approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

• Equipment must be maintained at an optimal performance level.

• Preventive maintenance must be performed yearly according to OEM procedures and protocols.

• Response times for emergency repairs are critical (24-hour phone, 2-day on-site).

• All services must be documented via an Engineering Service Report (ESR).
