The Purpose of this Notification is to announce the Government s Intent to Exercise Contract Option 4 (last Option Yaer) of Contract Number 36C25722P0248. This procurement was processed IAW FAR 13.5.
Contracting Activity: Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17, located at 5441 Babcock Road, San Antonio, TX 78240 in support of VISN 17 VA Health Care System at 4500 South Lancaster Road, Dallas, TX 75216.
The contractor shall provide maintenance of our EPLINK software currently owned
and utilized by the Cardiology service of the VA North Texas Healthcare System (VANTHCS)
facilities. The EPLINK software provides an HL7 interface cover for the EP recording system
software LabSystem PRO HL7. An upgrade and maintenance is required for a newer version of
the windows operating system.
FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The statutory authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. § 1901 and is implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) for restricting competition on this procurement.
Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
LINK MEDICAL COMPUTING INC is the only distributor an certified installer for the North Texas area. Any other vendor would cause undue delay due to the fact they would have to subcontract the project back to this vendor.
