This is a Pre-Solicitation notice for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23, for the procurement of Washing Machine Repair services at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.

The NAICS code for this procurement is 811310 –   Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance with a size standard of $12.5 Million.

Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package.  Any amendments issued to this solicitation will ONLY be available on this site.  Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments.  All questions must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Specialist at joseph.bloomer@va.gov.  No telephone inquiries will be accepted.

STATEMENT OF WORK

Minneapolis Veteran Affairs Health Care System

Repair Milnor Washing Machine

  1. Introduction:

    1. A Pellerin Milnor commercial wash machine located in the MVAHCS laundry facility needs to be repaired as soon as possible. Unit is leaking water from the bearing assembly.

  1. Objectives:

    1. Safely repair Milnor washing machine in a timely manner by an authorized Milnor dealer representative.

  1. Statement of Work:

    1. Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, parts and labor required to replace rear bearing, seal and associated parts for the following washer:

    1. Unit will be fully operational after repairs are made. Any additional parts/labor not included in quote or contract will need to be approved by the Contracting Officer before additional repairs can be performed.

    1. Test washing machine after repair to ensure machine is functioning properly.

  1. Working hours:

    1. Anticipated hours of work will be Monday through Friday from 7:am – 5:00 pm. Additional hours must be coordinated through the COR. Work will not be performed on weekends or federal holidays.

  1. Safety:

    1. Contractors are responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for their employees as well as the MVAHACS Staff. Work areas will be kept cleaned throughout the day and all trash and demolished materials properly disposed of daily.

    1. Appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment will be worn while performing work on the VA Campus.

  1. Security:

    1. Contract personnel need to obtain a visitor’s badge from VA Security located at the outpatient entrance security desk. Contractor will be escorted by a VA Staff member while at the facility for this repair.

  1. Parking/Storage:

    1. Parking is available in parking lots 11, 43A and 43B for vehicles (automobiles and Pickup trucks). Larger vehicles, equipment, job site trailers or storage containers must utilize parking lot 43A only. Contractor’s contact information (name and phone number) is required to be displayed on all vehicles, equipment, trailers or containers that are stored overnight at the MVAHCS. Dropping off tools and materials at the loading dock is permitted but no parking is allowed in the loading dock area. Unattended vehicles in unauthorized parking areas will be ticketed by MVAHCS Police.
