Quick Summary
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is soliciting proposals for a Veteran Canteen Equipment Preventative Maintenance and Service Contract for the VA Connecticut Healthcare System at its West Haven and Newington campuses. This is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. The contract covers comprehensive preventive maintenance, inspection, corrective service, and emergency repairs for Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) equipment. Proposals are due May 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM EST.
Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive preventive maintenance, inspection, corrective service, and emergency repair for VCS equipment. This includes scheduled PM, inspections, and periodic testing. The requirement also includes 12-hour, 5-day per week call-back support with after-hours emergency services, which will be billed separately from the firm-fixed-price (FFP) service line item. All preventive maintenance parts, filters, cleaning materials, lubricants, fluids, travel, labor, and reporting costs are expected to be included in the annual FFP service line item. The contractor must use new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts only and comply with manufacturer guidelines. An initial assessment and PM will be conducted in the base year. Most existing equipment is considered to be in good or functioning condition.
