Purpose & Scope
The objective is to establish a non-personal service contract for a STEM Education Program designed to introduce JROTC Cadets to STEM career opportunities, provide exposure to college environments and STEM curricula, and inspire them to pursue STEM-related education and careers. The program will host 360 Cadets and 24 Cadre over six one-week cycles from June 1 to July 17, 2026, on a university campus. The curriculum includes introductory and familiarization topics in Electrical Engineering, Meteorology, Agriculture, Drone Lab, Geo Science, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), along with hands-on activities, tours, leadership projects, site visits, and team building.
Key Requirements
- Provide a residential experience for 60 Cadets and 4 Cadre per cycle.
- Supply lodging (dormitory, separate male/female, security), meals (specific counts), and in-and-around transportation for 64 personnel.
- Deliver a comprehensive STEM curriculum and activities, including college mentors (at least six upper-level students).
- Offer administrative support for registration and maintenance of parent permission documents.
- Adhere to specific operating hours (5:30 AM - 7:30 PM CST) and provide at least 8 hours of sleep for Cadets.
- The contractor must be a regionally accredited public institution with established STEM and ROTC programs.
