Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, management, facilities, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and supervision to clean, paint, and protect metal surfaces of 368 AGE pieces. Key services include:
- Surface Preparation: Washing, degreasing, sanding/scuffing, and masking of all surfaces. Specific preparation for cable/hose compartments on Generator Sets and -95 GTC units, including application of a durable bed liner material.
- Priming and Painting: Application of one coat of primer (MIL-PRF-23377, Type I, Class N) and one coat of finish paint (SAE-AMS-STD-595, gray number 26173, MIL-PRF-85285 Type IV) according to military specifications. Interior areas of control panels and accessible interior areas are also to be painted. Safety striping with black paint is required for oil, hydraulic, and fuel bowsers.
- Logistics: Contractor is responsible for picking up AGE from Bldg 548, Charleston AFB, SC, using a transport vehicle with a minimum 15,000 lb winch capacity. Work on each piece of equipment must be completed within two weeks (14 calendar days) of pickup.
