Quick Summary
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for K-12 Physical Education (PE) Teacher Resources, including related professional learning and technical support. This RFI is for planning purposes only to gather information for a potential future solicitation. DoDEA serves approximately 65,000 students across 161 schools globally with about 350 PE teachers. Responses are due by Friday, January 23, 2026, at 5 PM EST.
Purpose
This RFI aims to identify interested contractors capable of providing comprehensive PE teacher resources, professional learning, and technical support. The information gathered will inform DoDEA's planning for a potential future solicitation, anticipated for March-April 2026, with an anticipated period of performance from June 15, 2026, to May 14, 2032.
Scope of Interest
DoDEA is interested in solutions that include:
- Teacher Resources: Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) digital PE resources aligned with SHAPE America National PE Standards and CDC's PECAT. These should feature teacher guides with differentiation strategies, unbiased formative assessments, and data-driven instructional strategies.
- Professional Learning: Asynchronous and synchronous webinars, and SCORM®-compliant digital modules covering resource overview, national standards, cross-curricular connections, and supporting diverse student needs. Specific hours are outlined for Base Years 1-4.
- Technical Support: Industry-standard technical support for digital resources, available via phone or email with a one-business-day response time.
Technical Requirements
Proposed digital resources must integrate with DoDEA's learning management system (Schoology) and utilize a single sign-on platform (ClassLink). They must be compatible with Chrome and Edge browsers, adhere to cybersecurity standards such as FedRAMP Level 2, and support automated data management and integration via APIs or SFTP with secure data handling and encryption.
Submission Requirements & Deadlines
Interested parties should submit responses in Microsoft Word or a compatible format. Submissions should include company information, a point of contact, potential for subcontracting, a detailed description of the proposed solution and experience, examples of professional learning, a non-binding price estimate (using the provided Excel template), and recommendations for the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
