Purpose & Background
This RFI aims to gather information from industry to assist the Government in planning for the procurement of overhaul/remanufacturing services for Kahn Model 102-240 Dynamometers. These units are critical for operations in Building 128 Turbine Test Cells at ANAD. The Government is not seeking proposals at this time and will not pay for information submitted in response to this RFI.
Requested Information
Interested parties are requested to provide input on:
- Capability Statement: Including past performance examples of similar projects.
- Recommended Contracting Strategy.
- Detailed Input: Regarding the sufficiency of details for accurate hardware, software, and integration/installation pricing; necessary information for a transition plan; sections requiring additional definition; and the estimated Period of Performance.
- General Questions/Concerns: Any additional input regarding the Statement of Work (SOW).

Scope of Work (from SOW)
The requirement is for a technical overhaul/remanufacturing package for Kahn Model 102-240 Dynamometers. The contractor shall provide specific drawings and documents necessary for overhaul, repair, or machining of components, including:
- Bill of Material (drawing 102-240-001)
- Assembly drawing (102-240-001)
- Overhaul Manual (19715B-1531)
- Detailed manufacturing drawings for expendable/wear items (e.g., Shaft, Rotor, Mating Ring, Bearing Support, Stator, Stator Plates, Discharge Ring, Clamping Ring).
- Wear limit dimensions for bearing journals and balancing specifications. All documentation must be free of obscured information and provided electronically on USB flash drives in PDF format.
Period & Place of Performance
- Period: 6 to 8 weeks after contract award (TBD in RFI description).
- Place: Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), Anniston, Alabama.
