Justification for Sole Source
Symetrics Industries LLC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the specified PSE, holding proprietary data and drawing rights. Awarding to any other source would result in unacceptable delays and require significant time for engineering, manufacturing, and testing, as the PSE has already undergone extensive developmental and environmental testing. Market research, including an RFI on April 1, 2025, and a pre-solicitation synopsis on April 9, 2025 (Notice ID N6833525R0389), yielded no alternative responsible sources.
Additional Notes
The Contracting Officer has determined the anticipated cost to be fair and reasonable. NAWCAD LKE currently has no plans to compete future contracts for these specific supplies/services but will assess competition if new sources emerge.
