Quick Summary

The US Fish and Wildlife Service is soliciting proposals for selective deconstruction and mold remediation services at the Headquarters Office of the Green River National Wildlife Refuge in Spottsville, Kentucky. Scope of Work

The project involves comprehensive remediation of the Headquarters Office (Asset No. 10077414) following water intrusion and mold growth. Key services include:

  • Testing: Lead-Based Paint and Asbestos-Containing Materials.
  • Mold Remediation: Implementing mold containment, primary mold and microbial treatment, and inspection for mold clearance testing. Mold remediation must achieve typical background levels, with no encapsulation allowed.
  • Deconstruction: Selective deconstruction and disposal of refuse.
  • HVAC & Dehumidification: Installation of whole-house dehumidifiers (maintaining 45%±5% humidity for 48 hours as a closeout condition) and restarting the HVAC system.
  • Restoration: Rebuilding interior finishes to a safe and functional condition.
  • Auxiliary Work: Weekly construction daily reports, time logs, progress documentation, monthly invoicing, weekly progress meetings, and daily site cleanup. All refuse and deconstructed materials must be safely and legally disposed of offsite.
  • Optional Work: Odor treatment.

The building will be unoccupied during the work, and the Government will not provide labor, equipment, materials, utilities, or security. The contractor is responsible for quality control and assurance.
