Sources Sought / Market Research

This document is a Sources Sought notice issued by the Indian Health Service (IHS), Phoenix Area Office, on behalf of the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. Its purpose is to conduct market research to identify contractors capable of providing laboratory tables and shelves, including installation. This information will assist IHS in developing a future RFQ/RFP and determining the appropriate small business set-aside status for this procurement.

• Procurement is for NEW Equipment ONLY; no remanufactured or "gray market" items.

• Vendors must be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller.

• OEM warranty and service must be provided and maintained by the OEM.

• Quotes/responses must include a copy of the authorized distributor letter from the manufacturer.

• The requirement will not be split.

• Quotes must include all equipment, services, and options.

• Place of Performance/delivery/service: Phoenix Indian Medical Center, 4212 N. 16th Street, BLDG 9, Phoenix, AZ 85016.

• This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP).

• Responses should identify the vendor's socio-economic status in accordance with SBA size standards.

• Reference: Final Rule on Buy Indian Act. (SET ASIDE FOR Native-owned Small business) ISBEE.

This document outlines the "Specifications" for "Requested Equipment – Work Stations - Microbiology." It details the requirements for new workstations and shelving needed to replace contaminated or inefficient existing furniture in the Microbiology department. The equipment must be ergonomically designed and resistant to fungi, viruses, bacteria, and chemicals, while also being easy to clean to ensure safety and prevent contamination.

Room #1 - Workstations:

• L-Shaped Worktable (72" L x 56" L x 26" D x 41" H) with slide-out keyboard tray and locking casters.

• Worktable (66" L x 26" D x 41" H) with slide-out keyboard tray and locking casters.
• All workstations feature an edge-banded high-pressure laminate work surface (1.5" H).
• One (1) 3-tier stainless steel rolling cart (16-3/4" D x 30" L x 32" H) with a 1" H lip, push handle, 500 lbs capacity, and 4" H swivel casters.

Room #1 - Wall-Mounted Shelving:

• Wall-mounted painted steel shelving (14" D x 36" H), adjustable and positionable flat or angled.

Room #2 - Workstations:

• Fixed casework with stainless steel work surface (67-1/2" L x 24" D), including a sink base cabinet and a flammable storage cabinet.
• Workstation (20" L x 24" D x 36" H) with half-depth steel lower shelf and locking casters.
• Workstation (72" L x 24" D x 36" H) with half-depth steel lower shelf and locking casters.
• Analyzer Workstation (24" L x 24" D x 49" H) with slide-out keyboard tray and locking casters.
• One (1) 3-tier stainless steel rolling cart (19" D x 33" L x 32" H) with a 1" H lip, push handle, 500 lbs capacity, and 4" H swivel casters.

Room #3 – Workstations:

• Two (2) Microscope Worktables (70" L x 36" D x 41" H) with full-depth steel lower shelf and locking casters.
• Analyzer Worktable (21" L x 22" D x 35" H) with full-depth steel shelves and locking casters.
• All tables have an edge-banded high-pressure laminate work surface (1.5" H).

Room #3 Wall-Mounted Shelving:

• Wall-mounted steel shelving (14" D x 36" H), adjustable and positionable flat or angled.

Room #4 Workstations:

• Workstation (72" L x 30" D x 41" H) with half-depth steel lower shelf and locking casters.
• Analyzer Worktable (32" W x 36" D x 41" H) with half-depth steel lower shelf and locking casters.

Room #4 Wall-Mounted Shelving:

• Wall-mounted painted steel shelving (14" D x 36" H), adjustable and positionable flat or angled.
