This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of a Request for Proposal Package for its construction project entitled, "LAKE GEORGE CANAL MIDDLE SECTION RESTORATION, LAKE COUNTY, INDIANA"
PROJECT INFORMATION: Under the Contract, the contractor will be required for remediation of contaminated sediment within the Lake George Canal – Middle Section. The work includes placement of an amended sand cap over existing sediment, bank stabilization, installation of a geotextile, sheetpile installation, ecosystem restoration, and related work.

ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is FULL AND OPEN, UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237990, with a small business size standard in dollars of $39.5M. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00.
The Solicitation package (Request for Proposal - "RFP") will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project Statement of Work is a Portable Document Format (PDF) file and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once the package is released into advertisement at this website ("beta.SAM.gov"), interested offerors may download the full package. The Solicitation package is planned for advertisement on or about June 15, 2021, with proposals due on or about July 16, 2021.
IN THE CASE OF A DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE DATES PUBLISHED IN THIS NOTICE AND THOSE CALLED OUT IN THE RFP DOCUMENT, THE DATES IN THE RFP DOCUMENT OVERRIDES THOSE PUBLISHED HEREIN THIS NOTICE; THIS IS RELATIVE TO THE RFP ISSUANCE DATE AND THE DUE DATE FOR PROPOSALS.
