Scope of Work
This call order requires comprehensive site preparation and rehabilitation services. Key tasks include:
- Site Preparation for Tree Planting: Creating bare soil spots for hand planting seedlings in areas with heavy grass or slash mats, using mechanical means (mini-excavators, dozers).
- Rehabilitation of Burned Slash Pile Ash Pits: Ripping, mixing ash and soil, scattering woody debris, and potentially repiling poorly burned slash to deter noxious weeds and promote vegetation.
- Road Work: Activities such as road opening/clearing, installation/maintenance of waterbars, roadbed ripping, re-contouring, and creating mogals for erosion control and to prevent motorized use.
- Fence Line Right-of-Way Clearing: Clearing woody debris for livestock fence repair.
- Snow Removal: Clearing roadways to facilitate snow melt. The work specifically targets 86 acres for planting site preparation in Taylor Firewood Taylor Park and 95 acres for ash pit rehabilitation in Slumgullion Pass.
