This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The U.S. Forest Service is seeking to procure three, and possibly one extra, rectangular/rigid water storage tanks for wildland fire suppression. These tanks are intended for use by helicopters to dip water buckets and for fire engines and water tenders to draft water.

• Three (3) brand new, transportable, rigid, rectangular steel water storage tanks.

• Tank specifications: Max 10-ft width x 15-ft length x 10-ft depth.

• Capacity: Approximately 12,000 to 13,000 gallons.

• Features: Open top for helicopter bucket dipping, two (2) 4-inch NH pipe threads on top for filling, drafting options (drain/fill bungs) on the bottom, leak-proof, fill pipe attached to an outside corner with braces, painted to prevent corrosion, transportable with connection points on top and bottom, and skids on the bottom.

• Color: Natural light or dark green or tan.

• An option for a fourth tank may be exercised if funding is available.
