Quick Summary
The National Park Service (NPS), under the Department of the Interior, is soliciting proposals for the LARO Patrol Boat Re-Power project at the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. This Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity requires the replacement of existing Mercury Verado 300 HP outboard motors with new Mercury Verado 150 HP inline 4 outboard motors on patrol boats. The brand name requirement is justified by compatibility needs. Proposals are due July 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM PT.
Scope of Work
The primary objective is to replace marine outboard gasoline engines on a 26-foot "Seahawk" law enforcement patrol boat. This includes:
- Purchasing, removing, and installing two new Mercury Verado 150 HP inline 4 outboard engines.
- Providing all associated controls, cables, wiring, gauges, and mounting hardware.
- Ensuring a complete operating system suitable for the vessel's specifications and current transom, potentially requiring transom and helm modifications.
- Supplying stainless steel propellers and installing new electronic displays integrated with the current Garmin Nav Package via NEMA 2000.
- Conducting a sea trial with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and addressing any issues after a 10-hour break-in period.
- Supplying owner's operation and technical manuals (electronic and hard copy).
- Returning the old engine on a pallet to the FT Spokane office.
