Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) by the Department of the Air Force, 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron (SOCONS). The government is procuring laser eye protective (LEP) glasses.

• 120 units of wrap-around sunglass style LEP glasses.

• 55 units of LEP glasses designed to fit over normal eyeglasses.

• Glasses must protect against wavelengths from 532nm to 1090nm.

• Specific Optical Density (OD) requirements are detailed for various wavelength bands, including UV, green, red, IR, altimeters, YAG, CO2, SWIR, LiDAR, and QCL.

• The contract will be awarded to the responsible vendor whose quote is the most advantageous to the Government, considering price and other factors.

• Place of Delivery/Performance/Acceptance/FOB Point: Cannon AFB, NM 88103, FOB Destination.

• Quotes are due by 27 February 2026, 2:00 PM Mountain Standard Time.

• Questions are due by 25 February 2026, 12:00 PM Mountain Standard Time.

• Quotes will be ranked from lowest to highest based on total cost.

• The three lowest priced quotes will be evaluated for Technical Acceptability.

• Award will be made to the lowest priced vendor meeting all other evaluation criteria.

• Quotes must be held firm for 60 calendar days.

• Technical Acceptability requires the contractor to provide glasses meeting the specified wavelength and OD requirements. Spec sheets are to be included if applicable.

• Past performance will be considered; award will not be made to any offeror with relevant negative past performance.

• This requirement is set-aside for 100% Small Business.

• The North American Industry Size Classification System (NAICS) code is 315990, with a small business size standard of 600 employees.

• All companies must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).

• This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; no written solicitation will be issued.

• .zip files are not an acceptable format for submission.

• The government will not provide contract financing.
