Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To install a new lateral move sprinkler irrigation system with variable rate irrigation (VRI) controls on a 20-acre field in Kimberly, Idaho, for research use. An option exists for a second identical system on an adjacent field.

• Installation of a hose feed, electric cord lateral move irrigation system in Field 1 (approx. 660 ft wide x 1300 ft long).

• System to consist of 4 spans, with the first span potentially longer for a dry travel lane.

• Main cart to be located along the west side of the field; can be 2 or 4 wheeled.

• GPS guidance system.

• Outlet spacing on sprinkler pipe: 30-40 inches; VRI sprinklers evenly spaced at 80-110 inch spacing.

• Two water supply risers to be installed on the west side of Field 1, connected via 5-inch diameter soft hoses.

• 480V electrical supply pedestals adjacent to each water supply riser, including a 110v single phase outlet.

• Variable rate irrigation control system with individual sprinkler control for irregular zones.

• VRI to utilize water-controlled solenoid valves.

• Sprinkler control valves to have poly hard drop hoses for 60-inch height.

• Sprinklers to be Nelson Irrigation 15 psi pressure regulator with olive plate rotator.

• Maximum travel speed: 9-12 feet per minute at 100% timer setting.

• VRI controller to program multiple stopping points and up to 10 speed changes.

• VRI controller to provide remote monitoring and control via computer or smartphone.

• Identical four-span, variable rate, lateral move irrigation system for Field 2 (south of Field 1).

• Water supply can extend from Field 1 or an existing 10-inch mainline in Field 2.

• One water supply riser and one 480V electrical supply pedestal in the center of the west side of Field 2.

• Electrical power supply to be SOOW electrical cord.
