Statement of Work (SOW)

To procure a colorfastness washing tester for the DLA Product Test Center to evaluate the durability and quality of textile materials used in Department of War applications. The equipment is needed to maintain operational readiness for conducting washfastness testing, dry cleaning, and colorfastness to failing tests, in accordance with AATCC Test Method 61.

• The contractor shall provide all necessary hardware and consumables.

• The equipment must be brand new, OEM-certified, and compliant with current AATCC and ISO colorfastness testing standards.

• Product: Launderometer, SDL Atlas, model: M228AA

• Language: English

• Dimensions: Approx. 47"W x 26"D x 47"H

• Display: Digital with divisions every 2° at minimum

• Control: Adjustable thermostat capable of reaching 90° C and maintaining temperatures within +/- 2° C, with safety shutoff switch, cycle timer, and auto off feature.

• Internal test chamber: Stainless steel with a stainless steel heating element, water fill port, shutoff valve, and water drain port. Rotor must accommodate 20 test positions for 550ml and 1200ml cylindrical specimen holders.

• Canisters/Test vessels: 20ea 550ml and 20ea 1200ml included.

• Rotor speed: Approx. 40 rpm's.

• Electrical: Capable of running on 208V / 60Hz.

• Installation: Local public works employees will assist with plumbing and electrical connections.

• Training: Not required.

• Calibration: Will be performed by DLA local equipment specialists upon installation.

• Warranty: One year for parts and technical support. Guaranteed company support for a minimum of 3 years.

• Pricing: Must include shipping/delivery.

• Delivery: Within 90 days from the date of award.
