Scope of Work (Anticipated)
The anticipated contract will cover janitorial and cleaning services at Laurel River Lake (LRL) and pre-identified locations near London, Kentucky, including the Laurel Beach/parking area, Laurel picnic area, and Tailwaters area. Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning Restrooms: Vault toilets and flush-toilet comfort stations, including stocking supplies.
- Litter and Debris Removal: Picking up trash, debris, and animal carcasses from mowed areas, wooded areas (up to 20 feet), paths, picnic sites, roads, and parking lots.
- Trash Receptacle Service: Emptying, cleaning, disinfecting, and relining all trash receptacles.
- Playground Areas: Cleaning around volleyball courts, playground equipment, and horseshoe pits.
Cleaning services will be required from May through September. Specific areas like the Spillway Beach Area and Picnic Area will be cleaned five days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday), while other areas like the Tailwaters Area will be cleaned three days a week (Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday). The contractor must furnish most supplies and equipment, including vehicles, tools, toilet paper, soap, and trash bags.
Submission Requirements
Interested prime contractors should submit a capability statement (not a quote) addressing the following:
- Company name, address, points of contact, UEI, and CAGE Code.
- Small business status under NAICS 561210 ($47 million size standard) and other business designations.
- A Statement of Capability detailing skills, experience, and relevant qualifications/certifications.
- Up to three projects of similar scope/size completed within the last five years, including project details, contract number, year completed, role (prime/sub), percentage of self-performed work, dollar amount, and description.
- Indication of whether work will be performed directly or subcontracted, and the percentage of self-performed work.
- Confirmation of intent to submit an offer if a solicitation is advertised.
- Any other relevant information.
