To provide lawn maintenance services for the Blackduck Ranger District, Chippewa National Forest.

• Mow and weed whip the lawn on the District Office Compound once per week, or as needed, from May 1st to October 31st.

• Mowing and weed whipping should occur when the lawn reaches approximately 5 inches in height, and the grass should be cut to a final height of 2-3 inches.

• Specific areas for mowing and weed whipping include:

  • Around the main office, bunkhouse, garages, storage sheds, and workshops.
  • Both areas within the driveway loop.
  • A 4-foot strip to the Smokey Bear fire sign.
  • A 19-foot strip on both sides of Forestry Drive, between the Main Office Building and Main Street.
  • The picnic area at the Northeast section of the compound.

• The contractor must blow clippings off sidewalks and clean up clippings from weed whipping.

• Mowing and weed whipping frequency is weekly or as needed.
