Scope of Work
The contractor will perform comprehensive annual maintenance and repairs on two specific BLM Law Enforcement Sand Rails (LE1 I00688LE and LE2 I00687LE). Key tasks include:
- Inspecting and refurbishing seats.
- Pressure testing and repairing radiator coolant leaks.
- Replacing engine fluids, belts, filters, and all hoses.
- Draining and replacing coolant, brake, clutch, and steering fluids.
- Inspecting and replacing batteries and spark plugs.
- Performing front-end alignment and engine compression tests.
- Inspecting and adjusting shifter/shift linkage, addressing 2nd Gear and Reverse issues.
- Clearing and treating corrosion.
- Replacing rear tires with Sand Tires Unlimited Sand Blaster Tires 36”x17 NO.2.
- Inspecting and repairing frame, welds, body panels, and paint.
- Checking all lights (emergency, gauge, headlights, dome) and wiring connections.
- Ensuring secure mounting of panels and covers.
- Inspecting and testing steering components, brake/clutch/throttle pedal assembly, brakes, drivetrain, and suspension components.
- Greasing all bearings and replacing missing fasteners.
- Inspecting and repairing all leaks (fluids, exhaust, air).
- Testing all emergency equipment, lighting, and buggy whips.
- Ensuring all vehicles have working hour meters.
