Scope of Work

MVK seeks to identify sources for potential riverine dredging of the Mississippi River Harbors and/or lock approaches of the JBJ Waterway within its area of responsibility. Contractors will be required to furnish all plant, labor, materials, and equipment for dredging. The material to be dredged includes sand, gravel, loose rock, silt, mud, clay, and potentially stumps, roots, logs, riprap, driftwood, and sunken objects. Dredges must be equipped to handle these varying materials on pipeline lengths up to 6,500 feet and should be immediately available. Contractors must also demonstrate adequate bonding capability.
