The contractor shall provide a comprehensive postage metering and reporting system capable of weighing mail, printing postage, and generating detailed, web-based reports. Key system requirements include:
- Equipment: Processing speed of 130 letters per minute, 70 lb scale capacity, and a Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) for DoD networks.
- Reporting: Web-accessible and preferably redundant, aggregating data points such as mail weight (lbs/oz), number of outgoing pieces, cost per piece, and total monthly postage costs.
- Services: Non-complex postage download, in-person or online user training, routine maintenance and repair, provision of replacement supplies, and discounted rates for Federal customers. Device relocation may be required during the contract life, subject to Government approval.
