Statement of Work (SOW)

To address a capability shortfall in firefighting apparatuses due to ongoing repair activities, the 325th Civil Engineering Squadron at Tyndall AFB requires a short-term lease of two commercial structural firefighting apparatuses for a period of six months.

• Lease of two commercial structural firefighting apparatuses.

• Apparatus must be in good working order with current pump and aerial certifications.

• On Board Water Tank: Minimum of 500 gallons.

• Pump Capacity: Minimum of 1250 Gallons Per Minute (GPM).

• Crew Capability: Accommodate at least four firefighters with MSA G1 60-minute air pack capacity.

• Drivetrain: Two-wheel drive.

• Engine Type: Diesel.

• NFPA Standards: Must meet NFPA 1900 standards and have a current pump test complying with NFPA 1910.

• Hose Capacity: Capable of carrying at least 1000 feet of Large Diameter Hose (LDH) and three 200-foot connections of 1.75" hoses.

• Pump Panel: Mid-mount pump panel preferred, but not required.

• Government Responsibilities: Daily and weekly operational checks, including driving and pumping tests, and logging of activities. The Government will notify the lessor of repairs needed due to normal wear and tear.

• Lessor Responsibilities: Acknowledge repair notifications within 48 hours. Ensure a qualified technician is on-site within 72 hours to assess issues. Complete repairs within 5-7 days of parts receipt. Provide equitable adjustment to lease rate for extended repairs. Provide a replacement apparatus if repairs cannot be resolved.

• Only trained employees, agents, or persons may operate the equipment.

• Lessee must observe all safety rules and pay fines for violations.

• Maximum monthly usage is 2,000 miles.

• Period of Performance: One 6-month base period.

• Place of Performance: Tyndall AFB, FL 32405.

• The contractor is responsible for developing and maintaining a quality control plan to ensure services meet SOW requirements and to prevent defective services.
