Quick Summary
The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Medium Range Recovery (MRR) Procurement Division, has issued a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Call for Lever Assemblies. The USCG intends to negotiate and award this requirement to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This requirement is unrestricted, and the small business set-aside has been dissolved.
Scope of Work
This opportunity is for the procurement of 8 Each of LEVER ASSY, National Stock Number (NSN) 1560-01-HS1-6199, Part Number 70850-82015-047. These lever assemblies are required as replacements during routine maintenance of MH-60T aircraft due to failures, corrosion, and/or damage. Justification for Sole Source
The justification for this sole source acquisition is that Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the OEM and owns all rights to the technical data required for manufacturing this complex item. The Government does not possess the necessary technical data, and it is deemed uneconomical to procure from other sources. This specific lever assembly is the only one approved by the USCG's Aircraft Configuration Control Board for the MH-60T helicopter. Market research, including comparison with previous purchases and current price lists, will be used for price determination.
