Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is soliciting quotations for a Lock-In Amplifier and an Arbitrary Waveform Generator via a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (RFQ). This firm-fixed-price purchase order will be awarded to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Quotations are due May 5, 2026, by 12:00 PM EST.
Purpose & Scope
NIST requires these instruments for a laser Doppler vibrometer measurement setup at its Boulder, CO facility. The system will enable the creation and demodulation of signals to measure electrical responses associated with surface vibrations in acoustic filter devices. Key deliverables include:
- One (1) Lock-In Amplifier: Capable of analyzing signals up to 600 MHz, with at least two channels, demodulating at least 8 harmonic signals, 50 Ohm input impedance, at least 100 mV output, and 14 bits D/A conversion.
- One (1) Arbitrary Waveform Generator: Featuring at least 2.4 GSa/s, at least four channels, at least 250 MHz bandwidth, and at least 5 volt output.
- Associated transportation fees and costs. No prototypes, demonstrations, used, or refurbished instruments will be considered.
