This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items to procure the replacement of a boiler and all associated equipment, piping, electrical, and plumbing within the basement mechanical room of the bunkhouse at the Plains Ranger District on the Lolo National Forest. • In-kind replacement of the boiler with an 85% AFUE 245 MBTU LP gas hot water boiler, including Low Water Cut-off.

• Replacement of associated equipment: Grundfos circulator pump, pump isolation flanges, air separator, expansion tank, flow safety switch, Automatic Boiler Fill valve/Pressure regulator, and Backflow prevention device.

• Interior gas piping modification as needed.

• Glycol freeze protection additive.

• Pipe insulation and miscellaneous installation materials.

• Complete removal and disposal of existing boilers and associated equipment.

• All work to be performed within the mechanical room as shown on the plans.

• Anticipated contract type: Firm Fixed Price.

• Period of Performance: Estimated to begin June 2026, to be completed in 90 calendar days, no later than October 1st, 2026.

• Price Range/Magnitude of Construction: Between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00.

• Quote Due Date: April 22, 2026, by 5:00 PM Mountain Time.

• Questions Due Date: April 20, 2026, by 5:00 PM Mountain Time.

• Evaluation Method: Comparative evaluation, with award to the quoter representing the best value to the Government. Evaluation factors include Experience (recency, relevancy, quality) and Past Performance.

• Quotes will be evaluated for fairness and reasonableness.

• Bid Bond/Offer Guarantee: 20% required if quote/offer exceeds $150,000.

• Performance & Payment Bonds: Both required at 100% of original contract price if value exceeds $150,000, due 10 days after award. For contracts $35,000-$150,000, irrevocable letter of credit or payment bond allowed, due within 10 days of award.
