Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To perform maintenance on the Lone Cone Cabin, specifically chinking and filling exterior log gaps and holes to prevent further damage and infestation by rodents and insects.

• Prepare exterior log surfaces by cleaning and light sanding to ensure optimal adhesion of chinking material.

• Chink all horizontal and vertical logs on the exterior of the cabin, ensuring full contact and no air pockets.

• Repair holes in logs using appropriate wood filler/material that repels moisture and rodents.

• Apply clear coat/stain as necessary for finishing.

• Contractor's work will be observed by the COR (John Hidy) to ensure specifications are met.

• Estimated completion time is 2-4 weeks.

• Contractor must provide a Proposed Project Plan within five (5) business days of contract award.

• Weekly progress reports are required every Friday by 3:00 PM EDST.

• Contractor must coordinate with the COR (John Hidy) for any questions or unique circumstances.

• Access to the cabin, water, and electricity will be provided. Lodging in the cabin may be permitted upon approval from the Rec Staff Officer (Krystina Smith).
